“A controversy has flared at Seattle City Hall over how a training program meant to raise awareness among municipal employees about diversity was implemented.
The Seattle Office of Civil Rights manages the training sessions on racial bias, which on at least one occasion, was voluntary for city employees. The classes are part of the city’s Race and Social Justice Initiative, which was established 10 years ago.”
According to Christopher F. Rufo, the director of Discovery Institute’s Center on Wealth & Poverty, and contributing editor of the CityJournal, the curriculum is called “Internalized Racial Superiority for White People.”
WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!??!?
The instruction expects the, ONLY WHITE, participants to come in write their name, GIVE THEIR PREFERED PRONOUN, which department they work in, and HOW OLD THEY WERE WHEN THEY FIRST NOTICED DIFFERENCES BASED ON RACE.

The trainers require white employees to examine their “relationships with white supremacy, racism, and whiteness” and explain how their “[families] benefit economically from the system of white supremacy even as it directly and violently harms Black people.”
Under the banner of “antiracism,” Seattle’s Office of Civil Rights is now explicitly endorsing principles of segregationism, group-based guilt, and race essentialism—ugly concepts that should have been left behind a century ago.”
How did we get to a place in our country where the left pushes the harmful narrative that SEGREGATION is progress in terms of fighting racism in America, and people actually believe it? This is racist, period.
The training tells its white participants that they need to process their shame, retrain their behaviors, and take action to “redistribute power and resources” to people of color.
One slide asks: “How are you aware of the ways that your family benefits economically from the system of white supremacy even as it directly and violently harms Black people and non-Black people of color and Indigenous people?”
Answer: Zero. There are zero ways my whiteness or the whiteness of my husband has benefited us economically.
We both worked hard to graduate from college. My husband and I got married ten years ago while I was pregnant with the 1st of our four children. I stayed home with our newborn and watched other people’s children in our home to make ends meet. I went to school online at night to get my college degree.
My husband worked full time during the day and worked as a bouncer at bars at night to make ends meet. Every job he took, we made the decision by looking at the experience it would bring to his career over the salary.
It was tough to put our short term struggles aside when looking at new opportunities. We now live in one of the nicest neighborhoods, and all four of our children go to private school. Ten years ago I knew if we worked hard we would get to this place.
If we quit telling black children, there is a boogeyman that wants to push them down before they even get started, it would make a significant difference in the success of the black community.
