BREAKING: AL Senate Passes Vote to Ban Virtually All Abortions

Big news for the pro-life movement.

The Alabama Senate has passed a huge pro-life bill– H.B. 314–, which virtually bans all abortions. If signed by the governor, it would be known as the strictest abortion law in the country.

It passed in the Senate by a significant margin– 25-6. The bill essentially establishes “personhood” to unborn babies and implements strict punishments for those who perform unlawful abortions.

Alabama’s state Senate passed a controversial bill on Tuesday that would outlaw nearly all abortions in the state and make performing one a felony unless the mother’s health is at risk.

The bill will make the punishment for performing abortions up to 99 years or life in prison, although the woman who received one will not be subject to a felony charge.

Republican Gov. Kay Ivey hasn’t said if she’ll sign the bill into law.
