Libs Are Actually Crying About Elon Musk’s Twitter Takeover

It’s easy to make jokes about crying libs. But y’all, it’s happening in real life. They’re actually crying about Elon changing the rules to keep them from censoring people and ideas they don’t like.

“Vijaya Gadde called a virtual meeting with the policy and legal teams she oversees to discuss what the new ownership could mean for them. Gadde cried during the meeting as she expressed concerns about how the company could change, according to three people familiar with the meeting. She acknowledged that there are significant uncertainties about what the company will look like under Musk’s leadership.”

“As news of Musk’s official takeover broke, policy and legal employees fretted at the meeting about what his leadership could mean for Twitter’s carefully crafted online speech rules, including its policies against hate speech, misinformation and even political advertising.”

They’re getting emotional thinking about what this free speech advocate is going to do to their “carefully crafted online speech rules.” You know, the ones that have been carefully crafted to favor particular narratives and agendas. Leftist narratives and agendas. Hopefully, he’s going to blow those carefully crafted rules all the way to Mars.

And a quick glance at the political leanings of Twitter’s current employees tells us exactly why they’re so devastated.

To be more accurate than Politico is wiling to be, they’ve actually “spent years creating elaborate guidelines to reduce the amount” of content they consider to be vitriolic and threatening. Which could be, and usually is, literally anything with which they disagree. That’s the beauty of their leftist cultural movement that convinces people that saying things that others may not like is actual violence. Then your words can be labeled vitriolic and threatening, and thus removed.

They’re terrified and devastated that they won’t be able to silence people the way they want to.
