Leftist, Thy Name Is Hypocrite, Keep Your Prayers

I am always hesitant to discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine. And not only because of the Obama/Biden influence on the coup that replaced the democratically elected corrupt-but-neutral Ukrainian government with one that was decidedly more anti-Russian…and not only because Biden wants $6.4 billion for an initial U.S response to Russia invading Ukraine (just INITIAL guys, he wants even more)…and that sounds like enough to give anyone pause, but the minute George Soros pops his little head up in the public eye to support something, I instantly stop what I’m doing and reassess what I know. Every time.

I like strawberry ice cream. If George Soros said people should have access to free strawberry ice cream, I’m going to pause and wonder if it’s possible for him to have ice cream stocks in major cities poisoned. I’m not saying I’m a member of the tin foil hat club, but I keep aluminum foil on hand and practice my origami simply because that man seems to have a hand in everything.

The Hungarian Prime Minister says of Soros, “He is one of the most corrupt people in the world; he has plenty of politicians in his pocket who now want to blackmail Hungary and Poland for access to EU funds.” There are claims that has corrupted the U.S. criminal justice systems using his money and influence to put district attorneys in power who favor ideology over reality. Soros has ties to the Ukraine like he seems to have ties everywhere else, so any time he mentions Ukraine the record scratches and my eyeballs get squinty. What is this about…

So while I’m busy keeping up with my Russian in-laws and their efforts to contact friends in the Ukraine and ensure their safety, I’ve refrained from commenting on Russia and Ukraine until I understand more. Not only because my naive little self never thought it would get this far. There’s just a lot going on there, and it’s way too much to dive into just yet. But what I can NOT ignore is all the leftists shouting Freedom for Ukraine.

I’m sorry. Uh. Whut. Do y’all believe in freedom now or something? All of these people changing profile pictures to the Ukrainian flag, which I feel confident in assuming they could not identify a month ago, and all these people who claim to be praying for the Ukraine make me wonder how many of them have ever prayed for anything in their lives…

I’m actually a little concerned that the world might not want whatever prayers they’re sending out, to be honest. If I ask someone to pray for me first of all it’s going to be someone who actually prays, like, consistently. And on their own. Not someone who hasn’t prayed to little baby Jesus since they were little babies themselves. I want it to be someone who understands me and the situation, because otherwise what exactly are you throwing out there on my behalf? And I want it to be someone who is right with God, because maybe he seriously doesn’t  want to listen to you. Have you ever had your kids forget to do their chores, catch an attitude with you when you pick them up from school, and then ask to stop for a smoothie. Cue the side-eye, because that kid has clearly gone crazy. Lastly, I want someone who says they’ll pray for you and will actually do it. I fly by the seat of my pants, life can be rough and things happen, if I’m asking for prayers then things are pretty serious and I need those prayers to be legit.

I can hear the progressives now…”Yea God, we haven’t spoken since the third grade spelling bee, but I’m here to make some demands. Help the Ukrainian people defend themselves. But only temporarily because we all know citizens should not regularly be armed. Send them tanks and bullets, and maybe some of those AR 47’s, but with low capacity magazines for safety. Please help them protect their borders, but only against the Russians because we all know borders aren’t real, immigrants can’t be illegal, and people should be free to go and vote wherever they please. Please let Russia go down the toilet, like all the Russian vodka we’re pouring down the toilet even though it’s already paid for and it’s a useless virtue signal, but I still want to be able to share memes of Putin riding a bear, so keep sending me memes or however that works. Also, if the unvaccinated haven’t died of Covid yet, can you get them all drafted for World War 3? Thanks. Like, no war, but if war send them first. I’m staunchly against the fascist concept of freedom in America, but Ukraine should definitely have it. Good talk. I’ll see you next time my favorite celebrity changes their profile picture to claim they’re praying for something. Uh, hashtag Freedom for Ukraine. Amen.”

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, leftists don’t follow logic they follow ideology.

So if you actually pray, please pray for everyone affected by these events but especially for the innocent Ukrainian people and the dangers they face. Please pray that our citizens appreciate tucking their kids into bed safely at night, secure in the knowledge that no one is bringing war directly to their door.

Be nice to your Russian neighbors, they didn’t want this war any more than you did. And I guess be nice to your Liberal neighbors, because they’re likely brainwashed idiots incapable of doing better at this point. Still, don’t invite them into your house…They may decide that you have more than them and it’s their job to take it. For justice or something.

Here’s a video of Russians being interviewed one month ago. People forget  both Russia and Ukraine were part of the Soviet Union. These are family members and friends forced into becoming enemies in battle. Regardless of whether you support fighting alongside Ukraine or staying out of the conflict, blaming Putin, Biden, Obama or Trump, these are some sad and crazy times we live in.

Before the leftist trolls get me in the comments, I’ll address their concerns.

Yes, because offering them is an empty disingenuous statement that makes you feel better without actually do anything.

– Oh so you want us to just do nothing?

Honestly, yes. At this point I wouldn’t trust you with a paint-by-numbers let alone a worldwide situation. If you must do something maybe research and learn more about what’s going on, or donate to one of the organizations giving resources to Ukrainians.
