Students Arrested For Writing “Black Preborn Lives Matter” In Chalk [Watch]

We have ourselves a double standard!

Apparently, BLM protesters can spray paint whatever they want, tear down statues, and loot with impunity. Conservative protesters cannot even write in CHALK. I kid you not.

Pro-life activists were arrested Saturday morning for writing “black preborn lives matter” outside of a D.C. Planned Parenthood.

The chalking was part of an event with Students for Life of America and The Frederick Douglass Foundation where they planned to paint the sidewalk before holding a press conference at 10 a.m.

“I’m gonna tell you now that if you continue chalking you will be placed under arrest for defacing property,” a police officer said to the two protesters. As the officers moved in to arrest the two people who were chalking, someone in the crowd said, “you know they do this every Saturday right?”

Although I am very pro-police, these officers deserved all the screaming and yelling they received. Have we not proven in recent months that police can straight up ignore violations of the law? Plus, how is chalk vandalism? It’s a public sidewalk and chalk washes away with rain!

Let’s face reality. We all know there is zero chance that the students would have been arrested if they were chalking black lives matter or anything George Floyd related onto the sidewalk. They were arrested simply because of the content of their message.

First Amendment, where are you?

The young people, who were with Students for Life of America and the Frederick Douglas Foundation, had a permit for their event. Here is the official reason for the arrest from the police:

MPD spokeswoman Alaina Gertz told the DCNF that the students were arrested for “the defacing of private/public property.” She said the students were “both citation released” and referred the DCNF to a description of what “Defacing public or private property” means.

I had no idea chalk on public sidewalks was a crime. I better alert my children! I’ll be honest, some days I want my daughter arrested for her chalk use. She frequently mixes chalk and water and makes a super messy slurry. This video should be a good scare tactic to stop that behavior!

So, we know that politicians make rules for thee, but not for me. Now we also know that the same situation exists with protesters depending on if they are liberal or conservative.
