WATCH: James Comey is responsible for the FISA fraud
This is something else.
According to this report from the Washington Examiner, Former FBI General Counsel James Baker believes the Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz will indeed find “mistakes” in regard to the whole process of the FBI obtaining the FISA application to spy on the Trump campaign.
In other words, Former FBI director James Comey could find himself in a bit of hot water.
“The inspector general is looking at everything we did,” Baker told CNN. “If the IG usually finds mistakes that we made, so I expect him to find mistakes this time.”
Baker, who admitted last week the inspector general makes him “nervous,” said the government watchdog will probably find some errors.
In related news, Attorney General William Barr has appointed US attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the Russia probe. He’s reportedly been investigating for “weeks.”
The U.S. attorney appointed to examine the origins of the Russia investigation has been working on his review “for weeks,” a person familiar with the process told Fox News on Tuesday, to probe “all intelligence collection activities” related to the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
