AOC Thinks Of ‘Better’ Ways To Spend $5.7 Billion, Forgets One Tiny Detail

The House passed the short-term spending bill with the addition of $5.7 billion for the wall. What will happen next? It’s in the Senate’s hands. President Trump has promised that there will be a shutdown if they don’t come to an agreement involving border funds.

AOC is feeling snarky. There are so many better ways the government could spend those billions!

Just one minor problem. (And by minor, I mean HYUUUGE.) Securing our border is a matter of national security. National security is something the federal government is SUPPOSED to spend money on. Teacher pay is not. College tuition is not. Replacing water pipes is not. Subsidies– nope. Green jobs? Nah.

Those aren’t basic functions of the government, AOC.

Literally none of those things is the job of the federal govt. – from the get-go they have been charged with protecting our people and our BORDERS. That IS their main job.

Not paying teachers.
Not fixing pipes.
Not pretending to care about green energy.
