July 10, 2018One of the main reasons I voted for President Trump? The Supreme Court. I knew we couldn’t put the future of the Supreme Court in Hillary Clinton’s hands. I wanted a President who would appoint someone who upholds the ideals of the Constitution. THAT’S what matters to me. Not their political ideology. However, conservatives are typically the individuals who DO uphold the ideals of the Constitution. Liberals? Not so much. Most of them are under the impression that abortion is a Constitutional right.
So yeah– that’s my clarification. I’m not looking for a conservative Supreme Court justice. I’m looking for a justice who puts the Constitution first– not their political ideology. It just so happens that my particular criteria generally falls in line with conservatism. Conservative judges generally have a greater appreciation for the Constitution. That’s just how it is.
ANYWAY. Axios provided a graphic, showing where Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh falls on the ideological scale, and if it’s accurate, it’s pretty interesting.

Here’s how they made that determination:
An analysis by political scientists Lee Epstein, Andrew D. Martin, and Kevin Quinn places judges on an ideological spectrum called the “Judicial Common Space.” Conservative justices receive scores from 0 to 1, liberal justices from –1 to 0.
Beyond Gorsuch, huh?
