Anti-Trump Teacher Is Baffled That His ‘Death To Trump Supporters!’ Tweet Made People Mad

Ladies and gentlemen, clever and competent readers, I’d like to introduce you one of the most clueless people on the planet: David Colin.

See, according to this, Colin decided that it would be SUPER AWESOME to tweet the following out into the world –

And later, he said much the same thing in a different post on Facebook –

Sounds like a super-charming guy.

Now, you could dismiss this as the lunatic ravings of a butthurt leftist still sore that his side lost the election (goodness knows there’s plenty of that on social media). But to parents and students in Tennessee, his comments raised all kinds of red flags. See, Colin is a substitute teacher. And, given that Tennessee went to Donald Trump in the election and it’s highly likely that Colin would be teaching students who support Trump and/or whose parents do… that obviously didn’t sit well –

“That morning after there was …. millions of volatile comments made by millions of people,” Colin told WTVF on camera, adding that he believes his posts were dug up after he made a political post to Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.).

But Colin just kind of sits and wonders – Why? I didn’t do anything wrong! I just wished death to people based on who they voted for in the election! Why am I being punished?

Here’s the thing: You can speak out and express your opinion all you want. But death threats? Against people that you don’t even know? (And who you clearly don’t wish to know…) That’s where the line gets drawn, dude.

Oh, but I forgot – it’s okay when the left screams death threats against people they disagree with politically. You don’t get the police and FBI called out on you. You’re just blowing off steam and it’s totally fine! Free speech!

Whereas if a Republican said the same thing about Hillary supporters, it would be classified as “hate speech” and it would be fine to picket outside their house and get them fired and their family harassed all the time. Don’t even pretend that wouldn’t happen, because you KNOW it would.

This guy can cry about his “First Amendment” rights all he likes – and he is quite free to do so. But misusing those rights has consequences.
