ATTENTION, ATTENTION! Trump VP Announcement Imminent!

Good news everybody! Donald Trump is going to make his choice of running mate public tomorrow morning!

I know a lot of people have been pulling for Trump to choose Newt Gingrich, which… sure. That’d be a decent enough choice. Personally, I don’t know enough about Mike Pence to say one way or the other (I’m sure Mock and Daisy will have PLENTY to say about him if he indeed is the pick). Chris Christie? That’s one giant “…eh…” from me.

No one that’s been put forward is really all that exciting to me – just speaking for myself. Honestly, this election has become less about voting for somebody and more about voting against Hillary. I’ll be the first one to say that it isn’t ideal, but it’s the hand we’ve been dealt. It’s not like when Mitt Romney picked Paul Ryan and it felt like his campaign got a much-needed shot in the arm and I had something I could be genuinely excited about (then again, look how that turned out).

I hate to be the cynical one over here, but I’m not going to lie and say that I’ll be waving pom-poms all through the conventions (I’m going to need a heavy dose of chocolate ice cream to get through the Democrats’ convention, honestly). But I’m also open to the possibility that something good could come of all this.

We’re in “Wait and See” mode. That’s the best I’ve got.
