Meanwhile, Back In REAL Discrimination-Land….

In the wake of all of this Chick-fil-A hoopla, Obama has gone full force with his contraceptive mandate, y’all. Yep. He has singlehandedly disregarded the First Amendment, and he’s not going to “give any ground” to those who still BELIEVE in the notion of religious freedom in this country. Because that’s how he and his liberal buddies roll.

Obama’s contraceptive mandate went into effect on Wednesday, which was the day that many across the country flooded Chik-Fil-A over to show their solidarity for liberty, religious freedom, and freedom of speech.

“[Women] are beginning to gain access to contraception at no additional cost I’m not going to give any ground to those who would deny women their own health care choices,” Obama told the women of the BlogHer conference in a video feed address. He was referring to the Health and Human Services Department’s mandate that insurance policies provide all women with free contraception and arguing that the refusal to pay for someone’s contraception is tantamount to denying that person access to health care.

I especially like the whole “at no additional cost” phrase there. Because contraception just falls freely from the sky in the form of unicorn farts in Happy Horsecrap Liberal Land. Didn’t you know?

Back in Reality-Land:

“[The mandate] will force conscientious private employers to violate their consciences,” Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore said in June. HHS exempted churches from the requirement, “but but the Catholic bishops say the government’s definition of a church is too narrow and leaves out faith-based institutions such as charities, schools and hospitals that employ or serve mostly non-Catholics,” as the LA Times explained.

Of course, the Obama administration is saying that they are granting some “exceptions,” but ultimately it’s THEM who gets to decide who’s “religious” enough to not have to pay for others’ birth control and abortions. Mighty dictator-like of them, isn’t it?

In other words, Obama just crapped all over the First Amendment. Because of course he did – it’s good to be the King.

You see, the big problem with this kind of liberal thought process – “be tolerant of ME AND MY VIEWS, or you’re not tolerant and need to be stepped upon and denied YOUR freedoms!” is that one day, someone along the line in a power-drunk government that has been given the POWER TO DECIDE WHO’S RELIGIOUS “ENOUGH,” will decide that they don’t like the way a liberal thinks about a particular issue.

And then that liberal will whine and bitch and moan because his or her REAL freedoms are being taken away. Not free birth control, people. But REAL FREEDOMS.

At which time, I’ll kindly show them my middle finger and ask them where in the heck they were in 2012. Oh, that’s right. They were being selfish, entitled, whiney, Constitution-bashing jackwagons.
