IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT THE CHICKS ON THE RIGHT MEET AND GREET!!!!

So, we have good news and bad news.

The good news is that HOLY MOLY the response to our 9/29 Meet and Greet has been awesome!  And we haven’t even told you about our super awesome speakers yet!

The bad news is that our venue is a country club, which means 2 things:

1. It doesn’t have unlimited, infinite space
2. Its event organizer needs to know how many people are coming ahead of time so she can plan for enough food/drink

Here’s what that means.  We need to register people for our event, in order to make sure we’re staying in the 200-ish person range, and in order to make sure everyone gets enough to eat and drink.

So here’s what I’ve done.  I’ve created an email account JUST for you to use to RSVP. It’s [email protected].   I’ll need your name, and the names of anyone you’re bringing along.  Once we have hit around 225 MAX or so, we’ll have to start putting folks on a waiting list, and we can add them should we receive cancellations.  The facebook event page is NOT SUFFICIENT for RSVP’s.  Please keep that in mind.  It is showing as a public event, but that’s only because we have no idea how to change it there.

I would like to assure you all that your email and names WILL NOT BE USED for anything other than keeping count of the number of guests, and communicating any important, event-related information.  If you are coming from out of town and have already arranged travel, you are priority, and you should indicate that you’ve made those arrangements in your email.  To avoid the inevitable liberal pranksters, you might also associate yourself with your screen/commenting name.

We’re hoping to begin announcing more details about our super awesome speakers early next week!  In the meantime, send in your RSVP to [email protected] so you are officially registered and your name gets added to our official guest list!  We’ll have a check-in desk at the event.

THIS IS GOING TO BE KICKASS.  YAY!
