Perhaps one of the most defining characteristics of the Biden Administration, apart from incompetence and corruption, is condescension. Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are horrifyingly condescending and they take every opportunity to show it. The fire in Maui is just another example in a long list. Not only could Biden literally not be bothered to even stay awake during a ceremony honoring the victims, but he had the audacity to assure the people that he totally knows what they’re going through because his 67 Corvette was once almost damaged in a small kitchen that was managed in minutes.
Biden says "Jill and I have a little sense of what it's like to lose a home" and then tells the story of when lightning struck his house in 2004 and says "I almost lost my '67 corvette and my cat."

Meanwhile, Maui fire victims are still finding the remains of their loved ones.

They’re finding out that the roads out of Lahaina were blocked so people couldn’t escape the fire.
According to a report by AP, the only road out of Lahaina was barricaded.

They’re finding out that Herman Andaya, the man in charge of overseeing this deadly disaster and who is directly responsible for the decision not to activate the alarm that would have given people greater opportunity to escape burning to death, was hired with no relevant experience whatsoever, chosen over dozens of qualified alternatives.
This unqualified man was hired over 40 other qualified candidates.

Seems to sort of be the story of the Biden Administration and presidency, no? https://t.co/wpD6OWw6TF pic.twitter.com/2hvOCH9q4o
They’re finding out that their power company had a reckless disregard for fire concerns or improving their risky infrastructure, instead focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion, and the climate agenda.
Perhaps the power company, like the Maui Emergency Management Agency, didn’t hire based on qualification. 🤔

Lahaina Maui residents are questioning the government's failure to issue fire alarms, delayed water supply during fires, and the power company's long-standing disregard for fire warnings.

But listen. At least we have a President who TOTALLY gets how these people are feeling because his 67 Corvette was once almost damaged in a small kitchen fire that was managed in minutes. As an added bonus, he was able to squeeze in a spin class once he got back to his vacation after his condescending and obligatory visit to Maui. Yay for America.

Also, lest you thought this was all about anything other than power, money, corruption, and incompetence, consider the amount of money being allocated as a reasonable indicator of who is being prioritized during this tragedy. Add about $3,100 per Ukrainian to this list, also.
