Leaked Biden Admin Memo Shows “Greater Energy Security” Took Back Seat To Climate Agenda

The epic grift that is climate activism is a pet project for the Biden Administration. That’s why they passed the radical leftist Green New Deal under the title of “Inflation Reduction Act,” which everyone involved now admits is primarily a climate activism bill. A leaked Biden Administration internal memo shows us exactly how much damage they’re willing to do the country and the American citizens in order to advance their pet climate agenda. According to the leaked memo, Former Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Director Amanda Lefton recommended that part of the climate activism agenda should be that the Department of the Interior (DOI) increase royalty fees for certain oil and gas drilling leases off the coast of Alaska. DOI Assistant Secretary Laura Daniel-Davis ended up signing off on Lefton’s recommendations.

But that’s not the whole story in this memo. According to Fox News’ exclusive story, Lefton explicitly admits,

“If a Cook Inlet prospect would be developed, there would be additional government revenues and greater energy security for the State of Alaska, especially if development of natural gas resources in the Cook Inlet ameliorated the long-term supply challenges facing the Anchorage area.

Nevertheless, because of the serious challenges facing the Nation from climate change and the impact of [greenhouse gasses] from fossil fuels, BOEM is not recommending this option since it would not include an appropriate surcharge to account for those impacts.”

In a time of unprecedented global energy insecurity, American energy vulnerability, and American economic crisis, she is suggesting that we knowingly forego increased energy security and increased revenue in favor of a “climate change” agenda.

A lot of people think the Biden Administration is just colossally incompetent and stupid. They have a heck of a lot of incompetent people, but they’re not all stupid. They’re doing this intentionally. Even the installment of the colossally incompetent people is a calculated move by the people who aren’t stupid. They’re destroying this nation on purpose and with specific intent. Misunderstanding that fact and not giving them credit for their conniving plans is dangerous.
