If Sec’y Yellen couldn’t have anticipated this, IN HER ROLE, then she should immediately resign or be fired. There are no excuses for this level of incompetence when Americans are suffering the way they are. None.
NORMAL EVERYDAY REGULAR PEOPLE LIKE US saw this coming. If WE could anticipate it, without any economics background or inside intelligence, then the freaking SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY should have been able to anticipate it. And if she was given marching orders to lie and call it transitory when she knew it wasn’t, that’s also completely unacceptable.
Everyone in this administration is either incompetent or dishonest to their core. I don’t know which is worse.
