Congress Confirms AG Garland Used FBI Counterterrorism To Target Parents

Remember when it was a “dangerous extremist conspiracy theory” to suggest that the FBI was investigating moms as terrorists for speaking out at school board meetings. I do, because when I discussed it, I had several people very close to me tell me that I really was being too extremist and alarmist to suggest this, and that I needed to reign it in a little because that was outrageous. And yet, I find myself once again vindicated.

As it turns out, the Biden Administration, through AG Merrick Garland, did in fact “mobilize FBI counterterrorism resources to investigate parents… for expressing protected political speech at local school board meetings.”

This means that Attorney General Merrick Garland lied to Congress in sworn testimony when he “denied that the Department of Justice or its components were using counterterrorism statutes and resources to target parents at school board meetings.”

According to a document from the House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary addressed to “The Honorable Merrick B. Garland” (I think “honorable” is a bit of a stretch at this point…),

“We now have evidence that contrary to your testimony, the Federal Bureau of Investigations has labeled at least dozens of investigations into parents with a threat tag created by the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division to assess and track investigations related to school boards… These investigations into concerned parents are the direct result of, and would not have occurred but for, your directive to federal law enforcement to target these categories of people.”

“At least dozens of investigations” into parents who exercised their rights to address school boards in opposition to policies implemented in their school districts. And AG Garland lied and said it wasn’t happening, when it absolutely was happening, and the only way it could have happened was under his direct supervision.

This reminds me a lot of when Fauci lied to Congress, denying that gain of function research was being conducted or funded by American agencies, when gain of function research was definitely being conducted and was definitely being funded directly by the division of the agency which he directly oversees.

These people in power think they can just do whatever they want and then blatantly lie to the American people with no accountability and no consequences, and that’s ridiculous. They’ve apparently forgotten that they work for the American people. At least, they’re supposed to.
