Sunny Hostin Blocks The Chicks, Says Twitter Is Only For Straight White Men

YOU GUYS.  I just found out this morning that we’ve been blocked by Sunny Hostin on Twitter!

Look at this ridiculousness.

I can’t blame Sunny Hostin for saying this… if I was untalented and had no idea what was going on, I’d default to blaming white men for everything. It’s the easiest way to get a promotion in the media

Now listen – I don’t begrudge Sunny blocking us or liberally (no pun intended) using the block feature.  I’m also a huge fan of it.  And she’s right when she says that it’s a feature that serves people well.  Which is why it was so patently stupid, elsewhere in her diatribe, to say, “I think Twitter can be a really horrible place, and I think people are excited because he is sort of going to unleash the trolls, right? I think he (Elon) is saying, ‘You get to say whatever you want. I’m going to take away the guardrails.’ And for me, that is something that is a bit scary.”

Why?  If you can simply block people whose opinions or comments you don’t wanna see, then what exactly is the problem?

Welp – according to Sunny, 38% of women on Twitter have been “on the receiving end of abuse.”   That might well be true, and we can certainly vouch.  But in the grand scheme of things, if you can in fact just block people, or choose to simply disengage from the platform, so what?  And, couldn’t Elon Musk claim abuse from Sunny after she basically accused him of catering to only straight white men?  Because again, who gets to be the arbiter of what is and isn’t “hateful” speech or abuse?

Block away, Sunny.  Or better yet, remove yourself from the platform you so clearly despise and which is so racist to you.
