This is why the US isn’t feared or taken seriously any longer. This right here.
According to the sourcelink, the State Dept has just announced that American citizens will now be allowed to choose X as a gender on passport applications starting April 11th, because this is the kind of bullsh*t nonsense that the US is concerned with right now.
Biden just marked a “Transgender Day of Visibility” yesterday – because as we all know, trans people never seek attention or approval, so they need the president’s help in making sure they’re “seen.”
GAWD.
Secy of State Antony Blinken made the announcement that the X option will also be available on other forms of official documentation next year. The X option is for people who have “unspecified” or another gender identity besides man or woman, because the US government is now officially participating in the collective delusion that so many folks have signed onto that gender can be non-binary. Which is weird, seeing as how in order to have non-binary, you have to recognize the existence OF the binary, which essentially renders the term non-binary completely meaningless.
But according to the State Dept, the “provision of an ‘X’ gender marker option is important because human beings do not always fit within a male or female category around the world, the lived realities of transgender intersex, non-binary and gender-nonconforming persons reflects that there is a wider spectrum of humanity than is represented by a binary sex designation on passports.”
K.
They should have Kamala Harris explain this in her Kamala Harris way, because the already nonsensical paragraph above would grow 100x bigger and be way more hilarious. I mean, just look at how long it took her to say, “The US plans to assist Jamaica with Covid relief efforts.”
VP HARRIS: "One of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way of its impact has been the pandemic… we will assist Jamaica in COVID recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential." pic.twitter.com/fVSr8Km6co

Anyway, I’m sure this news of the inclusion of an X option on US passports has got Russia and China shaking in their boots right now. I mean, HOW INTIMIDATING are we, amirite? And we aren’t alone in this amazing display of power. We join other bold and fearless countries like Nepal and Canada in allowing people to choose an X on their passports. And who projects more authority and strength than this guy, I ask you?
In the US, this all stems from some person named Dana Zzyym, from Colorado, who first asked for this change back in 2015, because he claims to be intersex and he uses they/them pronouns. He’s pictured below. You can watch a video of him at the sourcelink. If you can understand him (and it’s difficult), it sounds like he’s saying that not being able to choose X on a passport made him feel like he was in a prison. Dana is an “intersex activist” and is a military vet – having spent several years in the navy as a dude and being raised as a dude, but then deciding that he WASN’T a dude while working and studying at Colorado State.

Anyway, congrats, Dana, on getting the world’s premiere superpower to put an X on passports. Well done, you.
