Wait Until You See Who Was Named One Of USA Today’s “Women Of The Year”

USA Today named Rachel Levin as one of their “Women of the Year.”

After centuries (millennia, really) of playing second fiddle to men and fighting for equal respect and opportunities, we’ve so far lost our way that women aren’t even the ones winning awards for women anymore.

Levine, who was born biologically male and remains so today, lived as Richard Levine for many decades until deciding to live as Rachel Levine.

On the USA Today’s page titled, “Meet USA TODAY’s Women of the Year,” the synopsis given with Levin’s picture says,

“She became the highest-ranking openly transgender official when the Senate confirmed her as assistant secretary of health in October 2021.”

That’s it. That’s what they decided was Levin’s crowning achievement. The one most important thing to highlight in the single sentence synopsis about why Levine is being honored as a Woman of the Year.

Last year, Levine was very happy to tout the apparent achievement of being the “first female four-star admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.”

“I am humbled to serve as the first female four-star officer of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and first openly transgender four-star officer across any of the eight uniformed services.”

Washington Examiner commentator, Christopher Tremoglie, spoke for so many of us when he said,

“This is an affront to women everywhere. Levine is transgender, not female…How Levine chooses to live is a private decision, but that private decision does not change reality or oblige anyone to pretend that what is false is true.”

He continued,

“Being female is more than just a word. It is not a “social construct,” as is so often claimed. It is science — that thing the Left pretends to believe in. The vast biological and other differences between men and women do not change because Richard wanted to become Rachel.

What is the message Levine’s boasted promotion sends to women? It lets them know that men will game the system to deny women opportunities and will be aided in doing so by the Democratic president and his party.

Why should my two sisters lose opportunities because some men want to be women? Why do my nieces have to live in a future in which they are denied advancement because some men want to be women?”

In addition to Rachel Levine, Vice President Kamala Harris was also named as a USA Today Woman of the Year. Similarly, her single sentence synopsis is incredibly underwhelming and very telling about what this “honor” is really about.

“The nation’s first-ever female vice president, she shattered the glass ceiling for women of color everywhere.”

This might be more impressive if she had actually earned her station based on her hard work, merit, and track record of qualifying achievements. But she didn’t. She was chosen for the position because she is a black woman. They stated it in exactly that many words. And honestly, she’s been the most disappointing example of the first female Vice President that women in this country could have ever hoped for. She’s a national embarrassment and has done essentially nothing at all that could be considered legitimately constructive or beneficial for the country. She’s a virtue signal. How tragic that we couldn’t have a first female Vice President who was a real example of commendable qualities. And now, when we do have a female who works and earns her way to the top based on merit and qualifying achievements, it will be a less impressive achievement because it will have already been done by someone who was selected as a social virtue signal and not based on her merit or qualifications.

I’m so sorry to all the really worthy women who have been and who are being honored as Women of the Year by USA TODAY, but the honor just lost meaning and significance. It’s just not as impressive. It’s obviously a partisan social agenda thing as much as an actual female accomplishments thing. Which really sucks for incredible women everywhere.
