Illogical NYC Covid Rules Say Kyrie Irving Can Watch Game Courtside But Not Play

Check out this hilarious example of how absolutely illogical and unscientific all these Covid rules are.

Kyrie Irving spent the Knicks vs. Nets game sitting courtside as a fan. He can be there, at the game… in the crowd of fans… sitting on the edge of the court… for the entire game… because there is no longer a mandate in New York requiring proof of a Covid vaccine for spectators at sporting events. But he can’t be on the court playing the game because there is still a requirement for proof of a Covid vaccine for workers in the state. If Irving plays, he’s “working” and thus requires proof of a vaccine. But if he purchases a seat and just watches, then apparently Covid knows not to infect him or transmit to others around him, because he’s not working? Is that what these people think?

Kyrie being allowed to chill court side and watch Duke play and then watch his own Nets team play but not being allowed to HOOP himself is absolutely ridiculous on all levels of common sense lol

How stupid is that? Either way, he was still there. In fact, he’s arguably in contact with far more people for a far greater length of time as a spectator than he would be as a player on the court.

But then again, it’s never actually been about public health. It’s always been about control and compliance.
