Black Issues Strangely Absent From SOTU Address, HA! Losers

I didn’t watch the State of Union address when it aired live because I already wasn’t feeling well and I simply didn’t want to be more nauseous or annoyed. Often people will turn these things into a drinking game, but I was afraid I’d get alcohol poisoning if I took a shot every time Biden mumbled or stumbled over his speech.

Still, in this day and age you always hear or see snippets on social media. I saw Nancy Pelosi rubbing her boney knuckles together looking like a fly at the family barbecue when Joe was talking about toxic fumes from burn pits. Yeah, that’s not weird at all. I saw Kamala mouth Ukrainian when Biden called the people of Ukraine Iranian or Uranium. There was Chuck Schumer’s premature standing ovation, and Lauren Boebert calling him out for not even mentioning the 13 servicemembers who died in Afghanistan on his watch.

All in all, it looked to be the spectacle I thought it would be; synchronized standing and clapping regardless of the subject matter, patriotism that usually makes Democratic lawmakers skin itch being force-fed to pasted on smiles, Joe being weird as hell by ending the speech with “Go get him!” and then mingling by touching foreheads to people. Like damn guys, just let him go beddy-bye already because his brain has clearly left the building.

I felt compelled as an American to take in the entire show, so I bit the bullet and watched it. …Um…Well. It was a speech, that’s for sure.

Two things stood out to me by the end, the first two were glaring me right in the face and the other occurred to me later, much more subtly. First, we’re apparently going to pretend like Democrats didn’t literally paint “Defund the Police” in intersections of their major cities. For real ya’ll. They’re yelling fund the police…We’re supposed to believe that they’ve always wanted to support our law enforcement and our troops. M’kay.

It will be interesting to see if “funding police departments” involves safety equipment, training and better pay for our law enforcement officers, or diversity seminars and new crisis management professionals to talk criminals through their feelings. I’d put my money on the latter. 

After acknowledging that Joe was clearly attempting to pander to the independents and center-right voters in America, it suddenly occurred to me who he was NOT pandering to…Black folks, where you at?

Despite all the screaming and hollering, looting and torching in the names of Black lives, you mean to tell me Joe Biden didn’t mention Black people once?? I dare say I’m tickled.

The guy who was mentored by the Grand Cyclops of the KKK doesn’t actually care about black people when it’s not an election year for him? Who knew?! I mean, I did, but some people out there are surprised. They are legitimately surprised that the guy who said he didn’t want his kids to grow up in a racial jungle doesn’t have issues for black success in the forefront of his mind. College debt? Screw you guys. Funding HBCUs? Not on his watch. Police brutality, lynching reform, George Floyd, reparations, incarceration rates, academic disparities? Not a whisper about black people, inner cities, just nothing. Not even black history month! We got safe drug kits for “equality” and then nothing. I thought we were your homeboys Joe??

Black Biden voters, you played yourselves. You helped raise $6 Billion for BLM and they disappeared with everyone’s money. You burned your neighborhood stores out of business to make a statement, and for what? They don’t want anything to do with that foolery when it doesn’t benefit them. Black voters are in an unhealthy relationship with the Democratic Party.

He lied to you!

– But I love him!

He’s over there passing measures for Asians and didn’t mention you once.

– He loves me, he just has a hard time showing it.

He mentioned trans people in his speech, he’s clearly focused on their demands.

– …You just don’t know him like I do!

Keep holding out hope I guess. You guys do you. And hey, maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I zoned out and missed the whole section of the speech dedicated to all of the issues Democrats have pretended to care about the last couple of years? It could be this is the case. Otherwise this is just a very unsatisfying “I told you so.”

I said once before that issues like abortion would be pushed, fatherless homes would be praised, lack of success would be excused, and all of this would continue until the black community was so run into the ground that it was no longer useful. Perhaps Democrats are moving on to their next “token” group. I thought for a while it would be illegal immigrants, but Biden seems all about the alphabet people these people. I think I hear the clickety-clack of size 13 pumps in the White House halls along with deep ass resounding shouts of “it’s ma’am!”
