Biden’s SOTU Was One Thing. But WTF WAS THIS.

YOU GUYS.

I’m sitting at the Indy airport waiting for my flight, and I did manage to stay up for the SOTU last night and just caught up with Kim Reynolds’ rebuttal now (solid!).  Tried to listen to the first few minutes of Rashida Tlaib’s whatever-that-was, and had to bail just due to sheer rage.

There is tons to say about the SOTU, and Daisy and I will do that when we livestream later this evening (exact time TBA), but as far as I can tell, reaction was overwhelmingly…underwhelmed.  “Uninspired” was the term Dana Perino used, which was apt.  Even Chuck Todd and some of the talking heads on CNN seemed to agree that Biden had a big job to do last night, and he just didn’t deliver.  The exception was Van Jones, whose praise was so utterly over the top and absurd it just blew my mind.

ANYWAY.  I didn’t mean to get off on a reaction tangent.  Because I think what must be addressed, first and foremost, is WTF Nancy Pelosi was doing in this moment.

That weirdass reaction could only be described as evil glee. And over what?  Toxic smoke, you guys.  I mean, it goes without saying that Pelosi is batsh*t, but this exceeds her normal batsh*ttery exponentially.

Anyway, lots more to talk about with respect to the SOTU, so we’ll see y’all sometime this evening.  Have wine ready.  🙂
