Yup, the mother of Ma’Khia Bryant described her daughter as being ‘very loving,’ having a ‘motherly nature,’ and ‘promoted peace.’
Either the bar is REALLY low for mothers in that part of town, or she has a skewed version of what having a ‘motherly nature’ really means.
Considering she’s the mother of the 16-year-old who was attempting to stab people like she was snagging chicken off a plate, I’m inclined to go with the latter.
Watch her closely. She seems so casual about this, so distant. One gets the impression she hardly knew her daughter https://t.co/1NI6dYnTIA

Whether you wish to describe Bryant’s mother’s reaction as ‘normal’ or ‘grief appropriate’ is totally your prerogative. However, Bryant’s behavior alone, based on her own merit, is inexcusable irrespective of the mother’s role in her upbringing.
