BREAKING: Kenosha DA Announces That No Charges Will Be Filed Against Police Officers Involved In Jacob Blake Shooting

The Kenosha District Attorney Michael Gravely announced on January 5th that he has declined to press charges against Officer Shesky and the other officers who were involved in the shooting of Jacob Blake on August 23rd.

As a reminder, Jacob Blake was shot in the back after fighting with the police and brandishing a knife at the officers. The police were actually called to the scene because Blake had broken a restraining order and entered the home of an ex-girlfriend, who he proceeded to rape with his fingers. After digitally penetrating the woman while her son was sleeping in the bed by her, Blake then stole her keys and stole her car, driving away with two children. The ex-girlfriend called the police.

And in fact, the Kenosha DA has released the 911 call from Laquisha Booker, the ex-girlfriend.

In his press conference announcing his decision, Gravely expressly debunked the rampant media claims including that Blake was unarmed at the time of the justified police shooting.

“There are many commands disobeyed and that’s not only talked about by all the officers, but that’s admitted by Jacob Blake in his statements and there are a number of civilians who talk about that as well. And there are multiple ways that officers try to bring Jacob Blake into custody, again, none of those I think visible in any of the videos. They try to direct him to the ground, they try to grab, multiple officers try to grab his arms and secure him so he can be cuffed. He admits at one point officers were trying to ‘handcuff me but I was able to get up.’”

Gravely further explained,

“There’s a time where he’s down on the ground … where a really close viewing of it shows Jacob Blake is on top of someone who has to be officer Sheskey based on everyone else and officer Sheskey says, ‘I was on top of him and then he was on top of me as we were grappling for me trying to get him under arrest.’ Most importantly, he was tased twice using remote penetrators and once with a direct strike with taser. So, I’m going to suggest to you three attempts were made to tase Jacob Blake to get him in compliance.”

Perhaps the most important part of the press conference announcement was Gravely explaining that Jacob Blake was armed, dangerous, actively resisting arrest, and fighting with the police.

“Very important, Jacob Blake, while actively resisting, arms himself with a knife. I continue to hear, I think I heard it at the rally last night, the vigil, where someone again said he was unarmed. It is absolutely incontrovertible that Jacob Blake was armed with a knife during this encounter. Incontrovertible. Most incontrovertible, because Jacob Blake in all of the times he spoke to DCI, admits he possessed a knife.”

About two months ago, on Oct. 23rd, Jack Posobiec with OANN tweeted that sources told OANN that

“The Kenosha DA is dragging his feet on announcing decision on officer who shot Jacob Blake bc investigation showed Blake had weapon. Wants to wait til after Nov 3 to announce no charges. Same DA did not wit to file charges on Kyle Rittenhouse.”

I guess it would have been detrimental to the liberal political narrative for an armed and dangerous man to be justifiably shot by the police while resisting arrest. Then the community might descend into looting and rioting, maybe even calling for the radical leftist agenda to defund the police, giving credence to the “law and order” platform of the more Conservative candidates.
