Fox News is reporting that the CDC is backtracking on the idea that coronavirus can be easily spread on surfaces.
For those of you still wiping down groceries and other packages amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, breathe a sigh of relief: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now says the novel virus “does not spread easily” from “touching surfaces or objects” — but experts warn that doesn’t mean it’s no longer necessary to take “practical and realistic” precautions in stopping the spread of COVID-19.
Translation: The CDC was wrong about how coronavirus spreads…but keep doing all the crazy!
Experts really think people are dumb. In one breath, they tell us we don’t have to wipe groceries or close playgrounds, in the next they say you still to take precautions. Do they think we will stop washing our counters, hands, and begin coughing all over each other? Do they think we are all total slobs and morons?
My Translation: The CDC was wrong about how coronavirus spreads, let’s open the playgrounds RIGHT NOW.
Back in March, the CDC said that it “”It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes.”
Now, “the CDC now includes “surfaces or objects” under a section that details ways in which the coronavirus does not readily transmit.”
The CDC said the disease spreads PERSON-TO-PERSON.
More specifically, the agency said the virus primarily spreads from person-to-person in the following ways:

-Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet)
-Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks
-These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs
So now that we know this, and the CDC even confirms it, why do we have basketball hoops blocked off (like the one behind my home) and playgrounds closed. We’ve already taken school, zoos, camps, and sports away from kids.
For the love of God, let the kids go play tennis and basketball and run around on the playground!
