Woman Attacks Florida DHS Facility With Molotov Cocktail

A woman brought a Molotov cocktail to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) facility near Miami, Florida, this week. Luckily, no one was injured, as the cocktail didn’t properly ignite.

“The woman walked into the office Friday afternoon and hurled a bottle filled with gasoline and a lit fuse,” Local 10 News reported.  “But the fuse disconnected and didn’t ignite … Security officers handcuffed her, and she was taken into custody.  The report did not list her name.”

I’m glad her name hasn’t been released.  That would allow the far left to hail her as a hero, like they did with an Antifa man who attacked a Washington ICE building in July.  Whether it’s a mass shooter or a political terrorist, we shouldn’t be giving these people the fame and notoriety they so often seek.

“Today’s attempted attack on one of our SSCIS facilities using a Molotov cocktail is another example of the use of violence in place of debate by those who oppose the proper application of our immigration laws,” USCIS Acting Director Ken Cuccinelli wrote in a statement.  “This is the 2d attack on a DHS facility in 2 months using a Molotov cocktail.  Violence has no place in our society.  Thankfully, no one was hurt today.  We’re grateful to our security guards & the law enforcement officers of FPS who apprehended and arrested the assailant.”

This follows an attack about two weeks ago in San Antonio, where shots were fired through a window into an ICE office.

Violence against DHS and immigration authorities has been on the rise in recent months. Make no mistake: these are acts of domestic terrorism, acts that the left at best ignores and at worst celebrates.

I don’t think politicians or political rhetoric are to blame for these attacks.  I place the blame fully on the terrorists who chose to resort to these acts of violence.  However, it’s wildly disingenuous to claim that Trump’s language emboldens white supremacists and mass shooters, while refusing to say the same about the left’s anti-ICE, anti-American rhetoric.

I’m so tired of both the violence and the double standard.
