Cory Booker Says Thoughts And Prayers Are ‘Bullsh*t’

Sen. Cory Booker is making gun control a major pillar of his campaign. He recently proposed the idea of a national gun licensing program, calling the proposal one of the “most sweeping gun violence prevention plan ever put forth by a presidential candidate.”

“As president, we will make commonsense changes to our gun laws such as requiring a license to purchase a gun that includes universal background checks, banning assault weapons, and closing the loopholes that allow domestic abusers and people on terrorist watch lists to get their hands on a gun,” Booker said in a statement. “I am sick and tired of hearing thoughts and prayers for the communities that have been shattered by gun violence — it is time for bold action.”

Not only does he want to tread on the American people’s Second Amendment rights…he’s spitting on you as he does it.

He recently said that offering “thoughts and prayers” after a tragic shooting is “just bullsh*t.”

“So when I’m president of the United States, I’m taking a fight to this issue like folks will never see before because we’re better than this as a country,” he said on “The Axe Files.”

“It’s a uniquely American problem,” he continued. “No other country has this kind of carnage. More people in my lifetime have died in this nation due to gun violence than in all of the wars in the Revolutionary War to now. We’re not going to give thoughts and prayers, which to me is just bullsh*t.”

Some would say questioning the power of prayer and criminalizing law-abiding Americans is “bullsh*t” too, Cory.

“And I’m sorry to say that as a man of faith, but I was taught faith without works is dead,” he added. “We’re going to bring a fight with everything that I have to solve this problem. And because it’s solvable, and we know it.”
