I’m Trying To Exercise Some Restraint In This Post About Avenatti’s Latest Shenanigans. I’m Really Trying.

I hope Michael Avenatti gets a super itchy rash in a place he can’t reach, and I hope he suffers from really bad halitosis, and I hope he gets a nasty urinary tract infection.  I’m saying those things because it’d be impolite to say the other things that I hope about him.

And y’all know me well enough by now to know that I am never ever ever impolite.

Anyway, the Kavanaugh story is going to get waaaaay worse before it ever gets better, you guys.  Michael Avenatti promises.  Just look.

So, Avenatti’s going to trot out another woman who’s ready to accuse Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, because as you know that’s all the rage these days. And if you’re a woman with a legitimate, credible claim against Kavanaugh, OF COURSE you’d go to the sleaziest lawyer that exists, right? I mean, why go to someone with integrity and decency to handle your claim? Oh wait, I know. It’s because you’re looking for fame, a payday, and a reason for Trump haters to fawn over you.

Avenatti told Rachel Maddow that his client would be “literally risking her life” by going public.

Huh. So why wouldn’t she have chosen to quietly file her claim before Brett Kavanaugh was ever in the public eye? SO CURIOUS, you guys. So very very curious.

She apparently worked for the US Mint, the State Dept, had multiple security clearances in the past, and has intel about Mark Judge to share about how Judge and Kavanaugh behaved at a bunch of house parties back in the day. Avenatti also said he’d have a whole bunch of corroborating witnesses, who all have collectively decided that they suddenly remember something that they think should destroy Kavanaugh’s life, even though they were completely fine about him for the past three decades.

And Avenatti also flatly rejects Kavanaugh’s claim that he was a virgin throughout highschool and through college. He said:

‘And I think the American people are smarter than this.

‘You cannot reconcile the individual on Fox News with the individual that was joined at the hip with Mark Judge throughout the years at issue.

‘You just can’t. I don’t believe that America is going to believe what Brett Kavanaugh just stated on Fox News.

‘So, what exactly is he saying? Is he saying that he did not have sexual intercourse?’

‘Are we going to get into a definition of sexual intercourse?

‘Does that mean he performed oral sex or had oral sex performed on him?

‘Does that mean any host of any other sexual activities occurred?

‘Or does he want America to believe that the only thing that he did until well into his college years was effectively kissed or French kissed a woman? Is that what he wants America to believe?’

Well, I’m sure he DOES want America to believe that, if in fact that’s the truth.

Can you even believe we’re at a point culturally in our country that a Supreme Court nominee has to answer questions about his freaking VIRGINITY?

Thanks liberals.  Yup, I blame you.

Avenatti insists his client wants to give sworn testimony to the Judiciary committee, and that he and his team have vetted her claims. They’re also demanding that Mark Judge be subpoenaed to testify, and he insists that there’s tons of evidence to suggest that Judge and Kavanaugh targeted women with drugs and alcohol so they could gang rape them.

Aaaaand he’s demanding that Kavanaugh’s nomination be withdrawn, because of course he is.

What drives me nuts is the notion that a white man of privilege could not possibly conduct himself this way. That he should be beyond reproach because of his status when confronting these allegations, is unacceptable. Heaven help the women who defend this man without question.

My favorite is when people are just like, “This kind of logic is out there,” and “Logic is being generous” but don’t actually make a counterpoint. Like – just spell it out. What part of the post did you disagree with? The part where I believe in due process? The part where I don’t think women should be believed just because they’re women? Newsflash. Some women are liars. Some men are liars.  Some people suck, and that suckage crosses gender lines. Do Ryan and her pals not remember the Duke Lacrosse story? Or Rolling Stone’s coverage of a rape that never happened? Do they not remember an Army Colonel being accused of rape and then being awarded over $8 million for defamation because his accuser lied about it? Four of those jurors were women, by the way.

You can’t just say, “Believe Women!” because that’s not how our justice system works, and it’s irresponsible and anti-American to suggest it in the first place. You can believe anyone’s story you’d like to believe, but once a claim is filed in a way that can literally destroy the accused, then pony up some evidence.  Women should be believed when there is evidence to support their claims. Otherwise, the accused is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN guilty. Key word = PROVEN. THAT is how justice works in America.  If you don’t like that, find a country with a better justice system, and report back.

So yes, Kate Katz, it’s entirely possible for  “white men of privilege” to do terrible things. Just like it’s entirely possible for women (of any color or status) to do terrible things. Heaven help women who defend other people SIMPLY BASED ON THEIR GENDER, and without any actual evidence.

See?  Two can play at your dumbass game.

Frankly, I don’t believe ANY WOMAN who voluntarily seeks the counsel of Michael Avenatti, any more than I believe any woman who seeks out Gloria Allred or Lisa Bloom.  Those women are signing up for fame, payouts, and attention.  That’s it.  They don’t care about justice.  They care about the media show.  And if you’re too dumb to see that, that’s on you.
