Golden Boy Obama got a street named after him in LA.
It’s official: our City Council has voted to rename Rodeo Road to Obama Boulevard!
We’re thrilled that Angelenos and visitors will forever be reminded of the legacy of President @BarackObama when traveling across L.A. pic.twitter.com/gnVNgBgndn

Whaaatever. I’m not losing any sleep over it. But can you imagine how TICKED you’d be if you lived on it, though? Imagine writing “555 Obama Boulevard” every time you had to put down your address. I’d end up moving. No joke.
For the most part, the LA libs are all about it:
This is fantastic. I remember driving Rodeo Road to see @BarackObama speak in a Baldwin Hills park shortly after he announced his candidacy. Old, young, black, white, Asian, Hispanic….all united in enthusiasm and, yes, hope. So glad Obama Blvd will honor his great legacy.

Surely they’ll have a LOVELY time visiting from Florida. JUST KIDDING. The newly-named Obama Boulevard is a crime-ridden CLUSTER.
There’s a reason the neighborhood assessment website AreaVibes has given Crenshaw an F rating in crime. It’s the same reason that SpotCrime’s 2-month crime map for the Crenshaw area looks like this:
According to AreaVibes, Crenshaw’s crime rate is 4,411 per 100,000 people, which is roughly 1.5x the national average. Of the crimes, 1,360 were labeled as violent crime. That’s 350 percent more than the national average of 386 violent crimes per 100,000 people.
BAHAHAHA.
Does anyone else think it’s RICH that they named this dangerous hellhole after Obama? I mean… it really is fitting, isn’t it?
