Megyn Kelly Puts Sean Spicer Through The Wringer

I haven’t heard much about Megyn Kelly lately. What’s she up to these days?

Oh, you know. Grilling former Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

He was on her show Thursday to promote his book, “The Briefing,” and she didn’t take it easy on him. According to The Hill, Spicer’s book seeks to “cast Trump as a salesman who embraces hyperbole to sell his products, whether they are luxury apartments or policies.”

Kelly wasn’t feeling that theme and accused Spicer of attempting to justify Trump’s errors.

“You’re trying to justify the misleading now, as opposed to just apologizing for it,” Kelly said.

“That’s not true,” Spicer said.

While he admitted he made mistakes in his role, he said Trump never lied to his face or instructed him to mislead the American people.

“He’s never sat in front of me and lied to my face or told me to go do anything,” Spicer said.

“But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t told many, many lies,” Kelly replied. “Just because the lie was not to your face doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I mean, Sean, you’re obviously dodging. Why can’t you just admit that he struggles with the truth?”

It only went downhill from there. Kelly wasn’t buying what he was selling.

“I think there’s several areas where he’s used his hyperbole —” Spicer said.

“No, that’s not hyperbole. Those are not truthful statements,” Kelly said.

“I’ve made mistakes myself, I think we’ve all done them,” Spicer said. “I’m not accountable for every single thing that anybody else has said.”

“I know, but you’re accountable for saying you think he’s a truthful person,” Kelly said.

“That’s what I believe,” Spicer replied.

MEOW. I see what Spicer is trying to do. He just wants to make it clear that he’s taking responsibility for HIS actions.

I’m not trying to knock him, but I think I speak for most of us when I say I’m glad Sarah Sanders is the current Press Sec.
