Students and activists will be marching across the country this weekend– March 24th. They’re calling it the “March for our Lives.” I have a hard time taking these marches seriously. What do they plan to accomplish other than demonizing those who AREN’T marching with them? Mark my words. That will be the underlying message– that those who DON’T agree with their approach want children to die.
It’s divisive and disgusting.
I support the Second Amendment and a realize that it’s completely idiotic to blame school shootings on the NRA. Law-abiding citizens aren’t the problem and “assault” weapons aren’t even A Thing, but those are the entities those people will be marching against. They say they don’t want to take guns away and turn around and say, “We should ban all semi-automatic weapons” without realizing that IT’S VIRTUALLY THE SAME THING. Add that to the ongoing list of reasons these people shouldn’t be allowed to forge ANY kind of gun legislation. They don’t even understand what they want to ban or why they want to ban it.
That’s why I won’t participate in any sort of march that day.
Kyle Kashuv– the Parkland shooting survivor who has been all over DC like an army ant promoting BIPARTISAN solutions (and his app!)– won’t participate in the march either. His plans are so much better.
The @AMarch4OurLives is going to be a beautiful, inspiring gathering of people from all walks of life coming together and reminding those we’ve elected that THEY WORK FOR US.
They need to represent the interests of the people, not those of the lobbyists.#MarchForOurLives

While most of my school is marching, I will be in the @WhiteHouse with @FLOTUS thanks to the First Lady inviting me to an event the First Lady is hosting. I'll also be meeting with members of Congress on Capital Hill and doing media hits on @FoxNews pushing #StopSchoolViolenceAct https://t.co/CZ6WIGzB0S

That’s so much more constructive.
Wish my classmates would realize that their right to peacefully protest and hold a MASSIVE @AMarch4OurLives is protected under the same document they're trying to desecrate: the United States Constitution. #ConstitutionOverGunControl

He even slapped back classmates who are trying to troll him.
.@KyleKashuv Why don’t you invite my friends and I? That’s how bipartisanship works. We can sit down and have a discussion on tactics to keeping us safe. https://t.co/ef0UDpyBan

Let me get this straight:
– call out @marcorubio by saying he has blood on his hands, is owned by the NRA
– hang up on @POTUS and brag on TV
– tell @DLoesch she has blood on her hands
– cuss vilely on national television.
I'll pass on associating with you. Thanks though https://t.co/hjwzkT2S7J
