Sen. Ted Cruz is on fire today.
If you missed his appearance on “Fox & Friends,” you should watch it here. He totally rails against the Republican immigration proposal and makes some pretty bold arguments.
Cue CNN. It has decided that Cruz is too scared to appear on the network, because he appeared on “Fox & Friends” and snubbed CNN…or something.

It sounds like someone’s jealous of “Fox & Friends.”
Cruz was NOT playing this game with CNN.
Gosh, I seem to recall doing not 1, not 2, but THREE town hall debates w/ @BernieSanders on @CNN Each 90 min long. You can accuse me of many things, but being afraid of CNN is not one of them…. https://t.co/we6HBY0oQ9

Cruz’s communications director also responded:
Hey @CNN, Ted talked to about 5 cameras in the Senate halls yesterday at length on immigration, maybe check with your Hill producers and stop making stupid, pointless accusations. https://t.co/MIRqlEjzK8

Of course, Stelter tried to backtrack.
Senator, today's @NewDay segment asking "what are you afraid of?" was about the aftermath of the Parkland attack. Why did you appear on Fox but not other networks today?

Frazier wasn’t having it.
Ah, I see, this is just a petty tantrum that Cruz went on @FoxNews rather than @CNN. Cry me a river, man. https://t.co/digKcrOKao

I’ll also note we weren't even invited on New Day until 8:11am, 39 minutes before the show ends. What a nice heads up before being gratuitously criticized on air.

Pardon my typo: 49 minutes

Maybe people are more eager to appear on “Fox & Friends,” because they know people will ACTUALLY SEE WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY. The show has a huge viewership. This report is from November 2017, but it’s clearly still relevant.
Fox & Friends continues to win the cable news morning show ratings race (193 straight months), and it’s on pace to have the highest-rated in network history in its timeslot.
I’m pretty sure that has something to do with it, CNN. Quite whining and give someone more than a 2-second heads up.
