This morning, Sen. Ted Cruz appeared on “Fox & Friends” and slammed Republican lawmakers for supporting an immigration plan that would give 1.8 million illegals amnesty.
He doesn’t like the plan AT ALL. In fact, he says Republicans are going further to the left than Obama.
Kilmeade challenged Cruz and argued that Americans want– more than anything– border security. Therefore, compromise is necessary.
Cruz doesn’t buy that argument and made a bold prediction.
“Mark my words: If Republican majorities in Congress pass citizenship for millions of people — an amnesty — I think it is quite likely we will lose both houses of Congress and Speaker Nancy Pelosi will impeach President Trump.”
DAYUM.
“If you wanted to design in a laboratory legislation to keep millions of conservatives at home, it would be what’s being proposed right now. Let’s go to the left of Obama and give a couple million people citizenship who are here illegally,” Cruz added. “I think that’s a real mistake.”

Cruz doesn’t buy the whole “promise a path for citizenship now and secure the border later” idea. Why? Because Democrats NEVER keep their word.
“We saw this deal in the 80s. The wall won’t happen. Border security is like a promise of paying you Tuesday for a hamburger today,” Cruz said.
He’s absolutely right about that. This is a legitimate concern.
If they give citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants-some can stay, even many can stay-but they must get in the long line behind all those going thru the process legally. Truthfully, we need to slow down all immigration till we get people in this country in better shape

Not a YUGE Ted Cruz fan, but he is deadnuts on here. @GOP will lose both houses if they pass a border security bill that includes amnesty.

So…what do we do now? Do you support a plan that would give illegals a 10-12 year path to citizenship, or is that a political death sentence?
