Well, that didn’t last long.
Word had it Supreme Perv Harvey Weinstein was struggling in his “intensive” sex therapy program. And by struggling, I mean he’s been acting like a complete jackwagon. He’s been showing up to sessions late, sneaking his phone in and falling asleep during “therapy.” And when he DOES talk, he rants about how this entire thing is a conspiracy. Everyone’s against him for no reason at all. He still claims all of his sexual interactions with women were consensual. I mean, what woman wouldn’t want to watch that overgrown blob fondle himself near a potted plant?
It’s only been a week. But by golly, one week is enough. Harvey is done with his “intensive therapy. He’s been CURED! HA– just kidding. He probably left the therapy program because he doesn’t want to be there anymore. Let’s be honest.
Harvey Weinstein has left a therapy program in Arizona after one week, Us Weekly can confirm.
TMZ reported on Friday, October 20, that the disgraced former studio head completed an outpatient program that involved “intensive therapy” for various psychological issues.
The producer — who was fired by his own company earlier this month after the New York Times posted an expose detailing three decades of sexual harassment and assault by Weinstein — took his treatment seriously, his psychologist told TMZ, despite reports to the contrary.
The psychologist told the website that Weinstein underwent counseling that focused on “dealing with his anger, his attitude toward others, boundary work and the beginnings of work on empathy.”
The psychologist’s recap of the sessions is completely different than other reports. It sounds like he’s describing another person. He claims Weinstein was TOTALLy engaged and focused.
I have a hard time believing that.
The psychologist says he helped Weinstein focus on “dealing with his anger, his attitude toward others, boundary work and the beginnings of work on empathy.” He says Weinstein was “invested in the program.”
He disputes reports that Weinstein didn’t take his sessions seriously and that he ranted that there was a conspiracy to get him. The psychologist says Weinstein “was able to focus on his therapy despite a ton of distractions,” adding, “He showed up for all the meetings and was fully engaged.”
Weinstein’s reps swear he’ll complete at least 4-6 weeks of “outpatient therapy.”
Sources close to Weinstein tell us the producer has completed the “intensive” part of his treatment while staying at the Phoenician resort in Scottsdale.
We’re told while he stayed at the resort, professionals traveled to him so he could take part in therapy sessions, which were apparently thorough and intensive.
While he’s leaving the first phase of treatment, his team is adamant he will continue outpatient therapy while remaining in Arizona for the next 4-6 weeks.
We’re told reports of the producer leaving the state on Saturday are plain false.
We’re told throughout his treatment in Arizona, Weinstein had access to his phone and continued to keep in contact with business and family associates.
I don’t think more “intensive” therapy would’ve worked on him anyway. I think it was Rush Limbaugh who said this, but sex addiction therapy isn’t going to work on Weinstein, because he’s not a “sex addict.” He’s just a pompous idiot who thinks he’s so big and so powerful and so untouchable that he can treat women however he wants. He got away with it for years. It’s less of an “addiction” thing and more of a power thing.
Wouldn’t you agree?
