President Trump Under Fire For Referring To Critics Of His Puerto Rico Efforts As ‘Politically Motivated Ingrates’
October 1, 2017I used to enjoy SNL. I’m not a humorless, perpetually offended snowflake. I can laugh at jokes about people I like. But Alec Baldwin’s crappy Trump interpretations are getting old. They’re not even funny. That’s the least they can do, right? Be funny?
SNL took on Trump’s response to the crisis in Puerto Rico. I tend to agree with Kimber. Trump wasn’t criticizing the people of Puerto Rico. He was criticizing the questionable leadership.
But, that’s neither here nor there. NARRATIVE, amirite? Of course, SNL used the controversy and proceeded with their mission to make President Trump look as bad as possible. The only line that made me chuckle? The reference to “despascito.” Thumbs up for that one. Everything else– the phone call, the conversation with “Sanders” and the moment with “Sessions”– was LAME.
