Dude Who Robbed A Starbucks Plans To Sue The Patron Who Tried To Stop Him

This takes “we’re a litigious society” to a whole new level completely.

Back in July, Ryan Michael Flores, 30, robbed a Starbucks in Fresno, California. He was armed with a knife and what turned out to be a fake gun. On customer decided to take matters into his own hands. Cregg Jerri, 58, smacked Flores with a chair, and the two got into an altercation. According to reports, they both struggled for Flores’ knife.

Here’s where it gets wacky. According to Flores’ mother, Pamela Chimienti, Flores plans to sue Jerri. He claims he used “excessive force.” Again. This dude was trying to rob the joint. For all they knew, he had a real gun.

‘He has 17 total stab wounds, lacerations, and defensive wounds,’ Chimienti told CBS.

‘The guy, in my opinion, went from a Good Samaritan to a vigilante.

 

‘Stabbing somebody that many times, it doesn’t take that many stab wounds to get somebody to succumb to you.’

 

Jerri was stabbed in the neck and received six staples. Meanwhile Flores’ mother said her son nearly died in the emergency room from his stab wounds.

I especially love this wording:

Flores, who remains in jail facing a felony attempted robbery charge, has allegedly claimed he was simply trying to get away from Jerri when the Good Samaritan was stabbed.

“…he was simply trying to get away from Jerri.” Um, dude. YOU WERE ROBBING THE PLACE. You’re not innocent here. All of this is YOUR FAULT.

The good news? Police are already calling this entire lawsuit “ludicrous.”

Criminals are idiots.
