According to the sourcelink, a nurse practitioner named Trish Patterson, in Redding, CA told a local news station that one of her co-workers treated patients in a clinic last week because they sprayed sunblock directly onto their eyeballs as a way of “safely” watching the eclipse.
I literally can’t.
The idiots patients had to be referred to an opthalmologist for treatment.
This, despite pretty much every bottle of sunscreen having warning labels on them telling people to avoid getting sunscreen in your eyes.
You guys, I am genuinely afraid for what this means for humanity. This is beyond stupid. This is half-baked, brainless absurdity. Those people are the reason aliens probably look at our planet and opt not to visit, believing that there is no intelligent life here.
And you guys, they probably vote.
