Sen. Marco Rubio Reacts To President Trump’s Controversial Presser

President Trump held a heated press conference Tuesday afternoon, and predictably, people on both sides are losing their minds. Trump, once again, condemned the violence and hate on both sides. Of course, the left– and even some on the right– are suggesting that he continues to be too soft on white supremacists, even though he’s condemned them by name more than once.

It’s absolutely crucial that Trump continue to condemn white supremacists and neo-Nazis, but he makes a valid point. MSM continues to turn a blind eye to the violent left. Whether you like it or not, there are TWO SIDES. Trump can point that out and condemn white supremacists. It’s not one or the other.

However, Trump’s remarks didn’t particularly rub Sen. Rubio the right way.

I understand what Rubio’s trying to say, but again, it’s not this or that. I don’t have a problem with President Trump calling out the violent haters and losers on both sides. We can say this wouldn’t have happened if the white supremacists didn’t organize the event in the first place, sure. But that STILL doesn’t excuse the other side’s behavior either. Remember what violent leftists did to Berkeley over a conservative speaker? Did everyone say, “Oh– well this wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t try to schedule Milo or Ann Coulter to speak”?

Crappy excuse.

One side’s violent behavior is justified because it was provoked? Is that really a sound argument?

Trust me– I hate white supremacists and neo-Nazis as much as you do, but that doesn’t give me a right to be violent against them. Same goes for the other side.

You can call out BOTH sides. Why does that continue to be a point of such contention?
