He said the accusation– that he colluded with the Russians– is an “appalling and detestable lie”. Period.

In addition, he denied having any private meetings with any Russian officials at the Mayflower Hotel.

Sessions also said he recused himself not because of any “wrongdoing,” but because of a Department of Justice regulation.
