Behold: Bill O’Reilly Like You’ve NEVER Seen Him Before

Full disclosure: I’m not a fan of Bill O’Reilly. Never have been. I’ve never understood the appeal. He’s made points I’ve agreed with, sure. But personality wise– no. He was always too condescending for me. I’ve heard that many of his former co-workers say he was just an unlikeable person to be around. (And of course, there are the others who say he’s a rabid sexist. Who knows.) You may feel differently, and that’s cool too. But this clip is one of the many reasons I don’t like O’Reilly. It’s from way back in the day. You should most definitely turn your volume down for this. Make sure no kiddies are around. F-bombs galore.

I get it. The critics will say this occurred years ago and people can change. Perhaps he had a bad day. But I can’t help but question anyone who completely flips out like that in front of other people at work. That’s unhinged. And the way he turned off the crazy in seconds to do another take? And smiled? And proceeded to freak out AGAIN right after the cameras stopped rolling? That freaks me out. Anyone who can switch their personality like that gives me the creeps. (And you can bet if there was a clip of Rachel Maddow doing this, conservatives would be all, “OMG SHE IS INSANE!” Just something to keep in mind.)

The thing is, this kind of thing probably happens more often than not. Can you imagine what goes on off camera on some other shows? *shudders*
