President Obama Talks Trump’s Victory During First Post-Election Press Conference

President Obama just held his first post-election press conference and covered a lot of ground. Here’s a brief recap.

He started out by confirming his delusion. Everything’s great!

He said he’s committed to a smooth transition.

Therefore, he won’t comment on Trump’s appointments:

He said Democrats should stick to their core set of values, even though they ran off those values (if you can even call them that) and lost the election.

And talked about the learning curve of becoming president. Journalists are pretty worried Trump won’t catch on quickly enough.

He said he’s pretty much accepted that Trump will be president. About time.

And added that it takes time for people to “reconcile” themselves to this new reality. So complaining, whining, protesting– I guess that’s what the process of reconciliation looks like?

He also talked about the “interconnected world” and said immigration is good for the economy. (I hate how he uses lawful immigration and illegal immigration interchangeably.)

Obama didn’t say anything that surprised me. You can tell he’s hating every minute of this but realizes this is reality and there’s absolutely nothing he (or Jay-Z) can do about it. It’s cute though. He really believes everything’s in good shape. Oy vey.
