Mollie Hemingway BRILLIANTLY Takes Down Smug Journalists Over Trump’s Victory

Of all the lessons to be learned from Election 2016, the biggest one is this: The media has an inherent bias and you can’t trust them to accurately report crap.

Granted, this is something that conservatives already knew, but it’s clear that the rest of America gets it as well. What remains to be seen is if the media at large will figure out how badly they screwed up and work to fix the problem.

Or they can just continue to insist that America is super-racist and keep treating their audiences like total morons, and their audiences will turn away from them and turn toward alternative sources of news and information (See Also: Why sites like Chicks on the Right exist at all).

Mollie Hemingway, senior editor of The Federalist, was part of a panel on CNN’s Reliable Sources and she did NOT mince words when it came to discussing why the media is so disliked and distrusted. Even when Brian Stelter was all “But – but – Obama was fair to Fox News!”, Hemingway came back and basically told him to get out of his freaking bubble and actually listen to people that don’t share his liberal views –

If the mainstream media wants to have ANY kind of status or trust with the American people, they need to get out of their liberal bubbles and realize that the very people they depend on for their livelihoods are the very people they’ve been mocking and denigrating for the past eight years.

Last night, I talked to my mother-in-law about how she felt about the election. She said she finally had to turn off the news on Tuesday, because they were outright saying that anyone who didn’t vote for Hillary (not anyone that voted for Trump, mind you) were racist. She finally just turned off the news and doesn’t want to watch it anymore, precisely because they’ve become so hostile and just downright nasty to anyone who doesn’t hold their same beliefs. And I don’t blame her in the least.

Think about the news media as a guest in your home. Via TV or the internet, you invite these people to come in and talk about the news of the day with you. If they were real-life visitors and they started calling you names and insulting you because of your political beliefs after you let them into your living room, would you invite them back? Or would you kick them out and tell them never to darken your doorstep again? I’m guessing most sane people would do the latter.

That’s what’s happening to the media. People are tired of being taken for granted and not listened to. They’re tired of being a punchline on the 6:00 news. They’re turning elsewhere to be informed. And only the tone-deaf liberal media would wonder why this is happening.

Look in the mirror, guys. Then tell me what your problems are.
