Last night, anti-Trump riots broke out in various cities because that’s the most reasonable and measured way to express disappointment in the results of an election. Well, it is if you’re a flaming leftist Millennial who’s never experienced defeat and has to run to a safe space if someone gives you a dirty look.

And liberals are worried about violence against them from Trump? Looks more like the rest of us have to worry about violence from the left.

Man, Civics 101 totally FAILED these people. Power changes hands in America pretty regularly. I hate to overuse the phrase “peaceful transition of power,” but that’s exactly what we do in this country. We don’t go to war or drag our leaders out into the streets and execute them, like they did in the French Revolution or what happened to the Russian Tsar in the late 1910s. We vote. We disagree civilly. Sometimes our side wins, sometimes our side loses. We accept the results and move on.
Unless you were pulling for Hillary Clinton to win. Then you march in the streets, set fire to stuff, beat people up, and call for death and destruction. Because, DEMOCRACY!
Except we’re a constitutional republic, so even that argument falls apart. And even the democratic part of our system worked just fine.
Can you imagine if Hillary had won and Trump supporters rioted and called for violence? We’d never hear the end of it!
