I don’t have a lot of time to watch television these days, but I happened to be cleaning up my kitchen after dinner last night, and this ad was playing in the living room. My husband and 6-year old daughter happened to be in the living room. I’m actually thankful that my daughter wasn’t paying attention at the time, because up to this point, I’ve tried to keep her out of the presidential campaign ad fray.
I loathe smear campaign ads.
Anywho, everyone’s calling it “powerful.” And by everyone, I obviously mean the lamestream media who are frothing at the mouth to make “herstory.”

Now, I won’t come to Donald Trump’s defense on what he’s said about women in his past. Or whenever.
He’s said some despicable things.
What I will say is that it’s pretty darn hypocritical to throw stones at Donald Trump – or anyone else – in this sort of forum when you’re Hillary Clinton, and take the “respect-for-young-girls-and-women” moral high ground when you’re married to the Bill Cosby of American politics.
Hillary is married to a serial adulterer. She’s married to a guy who has not only disrespected HER, but has disrespected and allegedly sexually assaulted other women – and not only has Hillary turned her other cheek – she’s defended him. So throwing out the respect-for-females card is pretty tone deaf. She’s married to a dude who has been accused of rape, for crying out loud – and Hillary simply doesn’t give a crap. Because as long as Hillz gets what she wants, all of those women in Bill’s wake – well, all of them be damned. Never mind the fact that Billy Boy has shown absolute disrespect for females time and and time and time again.
That meanie Trump has said mean things!
When Clinton’s victims had the courage to come forward and point the finger at Hillary’s disgusting, pathetic excuse for a husband? She threw those women under the bus. She called them bimbos. Because it was never about protecting her gender. It was always about protecting herself. And boys will be boys, right?
She protected that pathetic man. And so do Democrats.
I guess Hillary forgot that part of “girl power” in the “powerful” ad up there. Because the semantics of being called fat is apparently harsher than being called a “bimbo” after being cast aside like garbage by Hillary and her husband, I suppose?
When she’s old enough, I’ll be sure to tell my daughter about the obvious missing parts of this ad – never allow a man to treat her the way Bill Clinton has treated numerous women, and never treat other females the way Hillary has treated other women. Words hurt, yes, but in our house, your actions speak so loudly, I can’t hear what you say.
And we’re conservative, so I think it goes without saying that her Dad and I will teach her how to defend herself against predators, too.
Educated, empowered, and armed.
(Lord knows that she’ll demand more from her relationships than the likes of Jackie O., Hillary, and Huma…)
Curious – what will Hillary tell her granddaughter about her grandpa when she reads about his sexual assault victims on the Internet? Will she still call those women “bimbos?” Or the lot of them “bimbo eruptions?” What will her granddaughter think about that?
Or will she also be taught that it’s best to marry for convenience, and that other females only matter as a demographic in a political race?
Make no mistake – this isn’t about America and our daughters at all. And Hillary is no role model for my daughter. Or anyone’s, for that matter. Democrats need to quit acting as if she is.
Powerful ad, indeed.
