Ted Cruz Criticizes Left-Wing Protesters For Trying To Silence Donald Trump

Well, well, well. Would you look at that, huh? “Lyin’ Ted” is coming to Donald Trump’s defense. Because he’s not an indignant toddler.

Leftist agitators swarmed California’s GOP convention Friday, attempting to silence Donald Trump. The protesters blocked roads, burned American flags, waved Mexican flags, took their tops off and threw apples and eggs at the police.

That’s what you do when you don’t agree with someone, kids. You take your shirt off and throw apples.

Despite the protesters’ persistence and determination, Trump spoke at the convention. And believe it or not, Cruz came to his defense, calling the protesters “leftist agitators” who were “trying to silence a voice they don’t like.”

“The First Amendment protects everyone’s right to speak, but you don’t have a right to threaten violence, you don’t have a right to shout down others, and these protesters appear to be trying to use violence and threats,” Cruz said. “These are the strategies of MoveOn.org, of the leftist agitators who try to silence a voice they don’t like.”

Cruz suggested that the agitators practice “civil” discourse. But that’s not nearly as fun as burning American flags and getting naked and throwing eggs at cops. Duh! Get with the program “Lyin’ Ted!”

“You know, when I have protesters, that’s how I deal with protesters,” Cruz said. “…not inciting violence, not shouting people down, but engaging in civil discourse.”

That’s the thing. They don’t want to actually talk anything out. They don’t want to engage in civil discussion. They want to scream, cry, stomp and beat a bad looking Trump piñata until they get their way.

These aren’t rational people we’re dealing with, so we can’t treat them as such.
