I don’t even really LIKE South Park all that much. But I have caught clips here and there of their new season with PC Principal and how they’re making fun of Social Justice Warriors and political correctness in general – holy cow, I might be persuaded to binge watch this thing when the DVD comes out (not much time to work it into my current TV viewing routine, sadly).
A clever and competent reader sent us video of this song from the new South Park episode called “In My Safe Space.” And, given South Park‘s reputation for insulting everybody and everything – it is EXACTLY what you would think it would be –
What makes this even funnier is that I used to listen to a podcast about geek culture in which the hosts were also big-time SJWs (to the point where their social justice crusades took priority over their discussion of fun and geeky things. Hence, why I “used to” listen to them). One of the hosts of the podcast was a HUGE South Park fan. And this new turn in the show’s storyline this season almost makes me want to start listening to that podcast again and see if the South Park fangirl is still as enamored by the show as she once was. “Almost,” mind you.
I’m beginning to see why Daisy’s a fan.
