Singing Kum Ba Yah And Holding Hands Doesn’t Seem To Be Working For North Korea

According to this article, North Korea’s Kim Jong-Nutjob is playing “chicken” with the United States by stepping up his country’s nuclear arsenal.

Of course, North Korea blames the United States for being defiant against U.N. sanctions, saying that they felt “compelled to go nuclear in the face of the U.S. hostile policy and its nuclear threats.” 

Um, yeah.  I’m sure that’s the reason.  I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that sanity’s never been a priority in that North Korean, pocket-sized, evil wannabe Elvis impersonator.

We’re firing back with the idea that we just want them to follow the U.N. rules and sanctions, and we don’t want North Korea selling that type of weaponry to other nations.  Aaaaand, North Korea is rebutting by threatening retaliation if we try to stop their tests and further stockpiling, as they view that as a direct act of war. 

Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said that North Korea may not want to just drop their weaponry, listen to reason, hold hands around the campfire and sing Kum Ba Yah. (I was shocked, too.)  Her exact words:  “There’s reason to believe they may respond in an irresponsible fashion to this.”

Really? Noooooo way.

So, that whole sanity and reason and logic thing….yeah…I’m not sure if the Democrats’ notion of surly puppies and singing around a campfire is going to really work with this dude.  Just a hunch, though.

I’ve been saying it for years…North Korea is like a sleeping, crazy-mad giant just waiting to pounce.  I’m not saying it’s going to be tomorrow, but I am saying that instead of focusing on fuzzy-imaginary things like Global Warming and how to tax people into poverty to pay for something that may or may not actually exist, maybe the current administration could be focusing more on things like, um, National Security.  Maybe the administration should quit acting like a kid with A.D.D. that is in desperate need of Ritalin.  Maybe the administration should stop apologizing and consequently appearing weak to the rest of the world.  Maybe the administration shouldn’t assume that everyone else in the world will just drop their weapons and hold hands with us around that proverbial campfire, just because we extend a friendly handshake and hope for a world of peace and love and change… 

Maybe that would all work in our favor.  But that’s just me.

We better break out those surly puppies, because guess what, everyone?  Kum Ba Yah doesn’t seem to be working with North Korea.
