A new survey conducted by YouGov after the midterm elections is showing a shift toward Ron DeSantis as the party’s new favorite.
This shocks me 0%. Trump has been acting like a complete lunatic lately and it’s leaving a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
“There are two major factors that have driven the shift in who Republicans want to be the party’s leader moving forward: The party’s lackluster performance in the midterm elections outside of Florida, and Trump’s attacks on DeSantis, which have been widely scorned by conservatives,” The Daily Wire said of the survey results.
YA THINK?!
This survey gives me some hope. We need someone who can pull in hardcore republicans and moderates who might be turned off by Trump’s antics. It’s starting to appear that DeSantis is just that guy…Trump just needs to realize that.
I appreciate everything Trump did during his presidency, but it’s time to move on. His ego has gotten too big, he’s not putting the country first, and finally, he’s getting older.
We can’t sit here and say Biden is too old to be in office while simultaneously pushing Trump forward. Now, the fact that Trump’s mental fortitude is much better than Biden’s is not lost on me. But I do think at some point it’s time to move on to younger blood. And that young blood is DeSantis.

Agreed. He needs to get past his ego. It’s all about him, all the time.
I was NeverTrump in 2016 and didn’t vote for him because I thought he was too liberal. Then he surprised me as POTUS, governing more conservatively than I ever imagined. I actually think the left’s vitriol hatred towards him fueled his determination to do exactly what they didn’t want and he governed more conservatively as a result. I did vote for him in 2020. But now he is acting like a pompous ass again. He’s attacking DeSantis much the same way he went after Ted Cruz in 2016. His tactics do nothing to unify the GOP and just look petty and underhanded. I’m not surprised that people prefer DeSantis over Trump. DeSantis has a much more effective way of dealing with the MSM and Democrats. He reminds me a little of Ronald Reagan in that regard. I agree Trump needs to shut up or get out.
I agree. I voted for him in 2016 mainly because there was no way in hell I would vote for HC. Was pleasantly surprised at his performance, particularly when he had the media, democrats and republicans fighting his policies every step of the way when it was obvious that they worked. Right now, I think he would be wise to shut up, cut a deal with DeSantis to run together in 2024. Give Ron domestic policy and Trump covers foreign policy and major effort on swamp draining. Whole departments should be deleted. Nearly 100% of bureaucrats are democrats and that is not an accident. Then DeSantis/Noem for 8 years.
Why does everyone seem to forget that Trump and Desantis cannot run together since they are both from Florida?
