Hamas Losses Mount with 60% of Forces Now Out of Commission
Israel continues to lay the hurt on Hamas terrorists, with the newest numbers indicating over half of the terrorist forces are either permanently KO’d, in the slammer or badly wounded.
Charting Hamas’s losses over more than 100 days of war with Israel, there are some critical data points:
On the positive side: 48-60% of Hamas’s forces are out of commission – meaning either killed, wounded, or arrested.
On the negative side: the IDF killed around 3,500 in northern Gaza in the initial three weeks of the invasion, but has only killed around 2,000 more in the last six weeks, indicating that elimination of Hamas forces has dropped steeply.
The IDF estimates it has killed 9,000 Hamas terrorists, wounded around 8,000 to a degree that they cannot easily return to battle (a much larger number have been wounded at lower levels), and has arrested 2,300.
This means 19,300 can no longer fight.
The article also noted that “19 of 24 battalion commanders” have been killed.
While it seems that progress has slowed, I assume this is something that is expected. As the terrorists scatter and hide in their tunnel network, it’s going to be harder to root them out without full-on destroying everything. And with so many hostages on the line, absolute care is necessary.

I know the website has always been the red-headed stepchild of COTR, but can we at least get a “like” button so there can be interaction without writing out redundant comments? It’s been what, 2+ years since the “upgrade” where we lost so much functionality.
