Entitled Columbia Professor B*tches About Being Poor. Gets Ratioed On Twitter.

I used to HATE Twitter, y’all. But now? Well, Twitter and I have developed a beautiful “let me grab my popcorn and enjoy the show” relationship.

Enter today’s crap show – a narcissistic, whiney, liberal Columbia professor (but I repeat myself) who is complaining to everyone in the Twittersphere about how POOOOOOR she is:

Good Lord, this chick is dripping in liberal stereotypes.

I mean, she can’t possibly be POOOOOR. After all, she’s an “Ivy,” y’all. I mean, just look at the library in her house. Nothing screams poverty like mahogany furniture and a bunch of ugly-a$$ Old-English lamps. That room looks like a bunch of rich, white, cigar-smoking elitist assholes named Molly and Muffy would be hanging out in there telling each other how much better they are than the rest of the world. But wait! YOU’RE the white supremacists, you white supremacist right-wing blue-collar weirdos!

Holy projection.

This neighbor of hers really loves her library, by the way:

This broad has NO IDEA what poor is. And frankly, a lot of people in this country don’t, either. They’ve either never actually experienced real poverty or they’ve never seen it. They think that not having a cell phone – or not having their school loans paid for by others – is poverty. It’s not.

I was an Adjunct Professor once upon a time, and I loved it. I absolutely didn’t do it for the pay, though – it was horrendous. So, in order for me to do that for the seven years that I did, I worked two other jobs simultaneously. I had a full-time job, of course, in addition to two part-time jobs (one of which was the Adjunct Professor gig), and oh yeah, Molly – I was also a wife and a mother during that time. It’s called personal responsibility. If you aren’t making enough money, you do what you have to do to pay your bills and put food on the table. Why is that such a hard concept to grasp these days? If you can’t make ends meet, GET ANOTHER FREAKING JOB. Perhaps Molly needs a crash course in common sense – something that is sorely lacking these days.

There are not enough eyerolls.

Also, like OMG stop being pooooooor. Love, liberal Molly from her library.

I looked up the average salary of a Columbia professor. According to Glass Door, salaries range from $121k – $216k with the average being $161k.

If Good Golly Miss Molly is so poor, (despite her comfy income as a professor) she needs to do Dave Ramsey by downsizing and living within her means. Nah, Molly Folly probably regards common sense solutions like those as “Eurocentric”, “patriarchal” and “oppressive”. She seems to be unaware that there are some who are worse off than she is and wishes to have the roof over their head and food on the table that Professor Molly enjoys.
